Title: Tech tip: cutting braided stainless steel hose
Post by: Duck-Stew on January 03, 2012, 09:29:51 PM
When cutting braided stainless in the past, I've used tightly wrapped tape to help hold the stainless wires in place....

Until tonight.  After being poked the 11tyB-th time I got to thinking that there's got to be a better way.

There is....

I'm cutting -6 hose and using a 14mm stainless steel EFI style hose clamp tightened down instead of the tape.  The ends slip right on...  Haven't been poked at all since!

Thought I'd share...  Save someone's fingers a bit of bleeding.
