Title: Apriia Tuono blow out Post by: Travman on January 05, 2012, 05:12:47 AM Aprilia is pushing out the Tuono 1000 twins before the V-four Tuono arrives and 2011's are going for $7500 new. That is a lot of bike for very little money.

Wow! That's a killer deal. Where did you see the advertised price? I still see MSRP @ $12,999 on aprilia website. Title: Re: Apriia Tuono blow out Post by: The Don on January 05, 2012, 12:23:27 PM I have a soft spot in my heart for Aprilia and the Tuono, I just dislike the light set up, it stick out to far from the headstock, similar to the Speed triple

The headlights on the new one are excruciating to look at [puke]

The person who reported the deal talked with Rider's Hill which is in GA. If you are serious give your closest dealer a call. The $12,999 MSRP is not realistic. You can find brand new 2008-11 Tuonos with full warranties for much less. Aprilia is in the same position Moto Guzzi has been in. They have a lot of marked down left-overs still at the stores which makes it impossible to find a buyer for the new bike at the full MSRP when the left over bike is just as good and thousands less. Title: Re: Apriia Tuono blow out Post by: Travman on January 05, 2012, 07:13:16 PM The older version is tolerable. The headlights on the new one are excruciating to look at [puke] I agree. The V-twin models were tolerable if they didn't come with too many colors like this one,(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9f/Aprilia_Tuono_1000R_Factory.jpg/640px-Aprilia_Tuono_1000R_Factory.jpg) but the new V-4 Tuono is tough to stomach. :P Title: Re: Apriia Tuono blow out Post by: red baron on January 06, 2012, 08:15:37 AM That thing looks like it was drawn by a first grader. Title: Re: Apriia Tuono blow out Post by: LA on January 10, 2012, 05:42:13 PM I've ridden in front of and behind Tuonos. They are VERY good motorcycles. Anything south of 10K$ is cheap.
Title: Re: Apriia Tuono blow out Post by: CrashVR on January 11, 2012, 12:55:26 PM I'd rather have dorsaduro for that price...
Title: Re: Apriia Tuono blow out Post by: bikepilot on January 13, 2012, 10:26:09 AM That's a deal, they are awesome riding bikes. Reasonably quick, handle well and astounding good tourers/long distance mounts.

Some are gently used, some are brand new. I kinda want one. I'm pretty sure the RSVs are going for good prices too. Title: Re: Apriia Tuono blow out Post by: minnesotamonster on January 14, 2012, 11:00:52 AM Yup. See my previous post. $9999
Title: Re: Apriia Tuono blow out Post by: EvilSteve on January 17, 2012, 07:56:05 PM The Tuono is ugly as shit, that headlight assembly always makes the bike look awful. I don't understand why a bike that otherwise looks amazing has such a shit "naked" light setup. I always liked the RSVRs, they look awesome and the Tuono is a disappointment in large part because of how good the RSVR looks.
Title: Re: Apriia Tuono blow out Post by: CETME on January 20, 2012, 11:07:38 AM I have a Gen1 Tuono and it really is a fantastic bike.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i158/fmhipower/Bikes/Picture106.jpg) I will definitely agree that the Gen2 Tuono's are pretty ugly.
