Hello all , it's said in the topic . The reason I want to do it is just because I'm going to use clipons and the 98 m900 upper yoke is so ugly ... :)
I know the 848 upper fork holes are 53 vs. 51mm ,but I road I can use some 1mm aluminum bent sheet, but is there some spacer to correct the offset ,and one more thing: those 3 holes are in the same positions on both 848 and m900 upper yokes /I mean the apertures for the forks and the central one/ ??
I don't think it will work.
The holes are not in the same places because the offset is different.

On top of all that, the steering damper mount section will play hell on your tank.
Yeah , I was worried about the damper mount too ... well it seems it is causa perduta . Thank you for the fast replies guys!
I personally don't recommend something like this, but someone has done it

it's entire front end swap , I want to swap only the upper clamp and using the original monster showa fork. thank you anyway it's interesting.
Best to go with aftermarket then

'98 M900 has the small upper triple nut and the 848 has the larger one. I also don't think the triple clamp offset was the same between an 848 and a '98 M900.
Also, for the record, the '98 M900 fork dimensions are 50mm @ the upper triple and 54 @ the lower.
