And the higher revving wail was icing on the cake. 848 with some tasty mods would be a fantastic bike. i agree with this, but i think the S coming fully kitted out makes it the best value for money. offhand i think it's something like 4-5k extra to get the ohlins/rims and then another 2k for aftermarket traction control. plus, since the 1198 already depreciated a good amount, when it's time to get a new bike the hit from selling wont be as bad.
