Crystal Lake (http://vimeo.com/35199361) from A King (http://vimeo.com/twoslow) on Vimeo (http://vimeo.com). I had a day off and my buddy Jim was kind enough to take me to Crystal Lake for my first time. Dale joined us for a nice, but cold, ride up to the lake then came back on GMR. Music by Beastie Boys. Title: Re: Crystal Lake and GMR Post by: Privateer on January 18, 2012, 11:24:26 PM Nice! Havent been to Crystal Lake in YEARS. Maybe not since the late 70s when you could still take 39 all the way to ACH. Will have to do that sometime. When it warms up... it was really cold up above 5000 feet. the guy on the triumph in front of me had been up there the day before and he had light snow when he was eating lunch at the cafe. I guess they reopened the road just last year some time. It was really nice at the cafe except for the minivan of screaming kids with parents who don't tell their kids to be respectful of other people's quiet time. thanks for the compliments. The Melvins shouldbe coming back through LA in April. Git yer buzzo on.... sorry i don't know anything about the melvins.. should I?Title: Re: Crystal Lake and GMR Post by: The Bearded Duc on January 19, 2012, 12:53:33 AM sorry i don't know anything about the melvins.. should I? My apologies... I thought that the sound clip at the end of your video sounded like The Melvins and that you were a closet fan. I know I am. the clip at the end with the 'credits' is The Sword Freya-Celestial Crown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhJbPEOU7-c#) I think the cut i used for the end of my videos is from some megan fox movie Title: Re: Crystal Lake and GMR Post by: Privateer on January 21, 2012, 06:29:35 PM since a couple people brought it up, I thought I should mention as far as I know crystal lake cafe is a cash only place.
If you get up there, even if you buy a drink, you're helping the guy stay open and convincing him there is enough demand to be open. Without him it'd just be a forest service bathroom and nothing else.
