Title: Whose bike is this at the NYC show? Post by: Bogie on January 21, 2012, 04:08:02 PM I went to the bike show on friday and parked behind one the the exhibits was a beautiful black monster with gold rims, pressure plate, and gold linked chain. Yes, I know I should have taken a picture. The exhibit was along the back wall in the room that Ducati exhibit was not in. I think it was close to the Cam Am exhibit. Anyway the bike was sharp. I post the question here because it had New York plates on it. The bike should have been on display. More pics please.

All I know is it started life as a chromo and the owner's name is Rob. I was at the show late Saturday and is was on display as one of the competition bikes in the custom builders competition.

Title: Re: Whose bike is this at the NYC show? Post by: Grrrly on January 24, 2012, 02:45:22 PM Where's the exhaust? I believe that's when it was up at ECS getting put back together, or the beginning of it's transformation. Not sure. That's the bike. I guess I saw it when it was not on display. That is a sharp bike. Do we have a full story? Did it win? I don't know what category the bike was entered in. Don't know what the outcome of the competitions were, but compared to the level of custom fabrication in the streetfighters alone that were there, I highly doubt it, as the Monster was mostly bolt on in comparison. Don't get me wrong, I think that Monster is hot, but it's not on the same level. here's just a few of the bikes that were there (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7018/6757144659_3439b3585f_z.jpg) (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7151/6757139493_fc7850751d_z.jpg) (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7034/6757134067_8141978306_z.jpg) (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7018/6757125089_7e887bb3c5_z.jpg) (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7145/6757136735_f88df7c168_z.jpg) Title: Re: Whose bike is this at the NYC show? I was looking at it thinking "trellis frame, v twin... but not a duc?" and i agree, there was no way that monster really had a chance against the other really custom bikes out that day. |
