Title: S4 termi noise ?????? Post by: jerryz on January 22, 2012, 11:51:23 AM I was out today at Bury Hill in UK lots of bikes out on a cold day over 200 at the cafe , yep i am back from riding the S4 in Thailand last week so out in the cold on the M750,,,, but lots of joy ...
any way I was listening to many Ducatis up there and all 4v the S4 and S4r and superbike s sound much more BOOMY like my 2v Monster , than my tuned S4 in Thailand which has C/F full termi system and airbox PC3 115+ bhp etc but does not sound BOOMY at all .....why is that and what can I do about it???????? confused ... Title: Re: S4 termi noise ?????? Post by: muskrat on January 22, 2012, 04:27:21 PM did you have your DB killers in with the stock mid-pipe? My S4R is way louder with an after-market manufacturer mid-pipe and termis.

Title: Re: S4 termi noise ?????? Post by: MadDuck on January 24, 2012, 11:11:24 PM Maybe change the pipes somehow. I always complained that my '03 999 with a full Termi was lacking in the bass boom department. Actually my '09 848 with Termi slip ons sounds more boom-boom than the 999 did but still nothing like the 900 Monster did or the 1098/1198's do. In fact the 848 sounds a bit more like the 916 with Termi's which is more like your S4. Which is not to say that it sounds bad but rather it could sound more bad, badder, if you catch my drift.
Different pipes or bigger displacement. That's all I can suggest. Title: Re: S4 termi noise ??????
