Title: Headlight Monster 796.

Hi Guys,
After a month of not using my bike, I have problems to start the engine because the headlamp takes a lot power from the battery when I try to start the engine.

I know there is a procedure on the bike, that permits the engine to start before the headlamp gets on. Do you know how to do it?

Thanks for your comments,
Mike

put it on a battery tender.

Two clean solutions:

  European head light switch.
Install  a set up like this: http://bmwmotorcycletech.info/headlightrelay.htm (http://bmwmotorcycletech.info/headlightrelay.htm)  There is a kit available somewhere.

Not so clean:

A toggle switch in the wire to the headlight to cut the power.
