Post by: JoeP on February 01, 2012, 08:03:59 AM
Hi all, just wanted to put the word out to you military or DoD civs: Registration is open for the motorcycle courses at Quantico! http://www.quantico.usmc.mil/OPM/?m=QCA&p=sd&s=8 (http://www.quantico.usmc.mil/OPM/?m=QCA&p=sd&s=8)

I'm signed up for pretty much all of them cos they're free. Can't wait for the advanced cornering clinic!  [thumbsup]

Took the Sportbike Rider Course at Camp Upshur last year. It wasn't bad. The instructors were friendly.

Exactly.

AND the fact that my 13 years of military service can be "bought" into the federal pay system if I chose to do so.

You know, I've actually had a judge say that to me in a contentious hearing although it was in chambers and he was in the wrong...  Fun guy, I think he was disbarred a few years ago during the Brooklyn judge scandal..

I don't think so, but I would call and ask just in case.

Just wondering.  I have a DoD clearance, but I'm not currently doing any DoD work.

You'll most likely need a DoD ID to play.  Having a clearance is a non-player when being considered a DoD civilian.
