Title: Rizoma fluid tank leak....on both bikes
Post by: muskrat on February 23, 2012, 03:29:46 PM
I have these installed on both bikes, the S4r and the 900, and they wont stop leaking.

Both bikes leak but the 900 more so, I guess because she doesn't get ridden as much.  Any suggestions?  The S4r set is mounted to plates and the 900 directly to the old stands.

Mine did this for a while too. When you put the top on the rubber gasket underneath expands and pushes down more, you just have too much fluid in the reservoir.

sorry to say but I don't have too much fluid.  I've re-done them twice and even had the shop do them once.

Is the grease gone? I've noticed I have to grease around the threads every season or mine will weep.

don't know if the grease is gone.  will check.  my local dealer did say they would call Rizoma and get it sorted with either replacement or new seals.  On another note, Rizoma emailed me immediately and then called me.  [thumbsup] for them talking directly to a customer.  makes me feel better about the thousands in rizoma stuff......

I'm sure some of that fluid made its way to your tank, maybe you can get a free paint job out of it?
