Actually, I sort of suspect they're aluminum (though I have absolutely no data to back this up, apart from superstock/superbike tanks being aluminum).

That's horrible.  Horribly weird since I thought Ducati held onto their race bikes longer that that, shuttling them to the museum.

Must be the impending sale and debt load they have that's forcing the sale.  Tragic, in a way.

I wonder if it had a better record during its season if it would have been put up for auction.

I'm sure the bikes will bring good money, but I really can't imagine that their sale would bring anything close to the "corporate debt" money.

I might be hated for this but screw the GP10 and GP11, I mean wow they are super sexy and all  but
did you go into the actual auction list and see all the old bikes that are also being auctioned???

Lots of neat stuff there. Of course the GP10 and 11 are almost certainly still the rarest vehicles for sale, and if you have the sort of money to actually get in on this auction there's probably a lot to be said for having something that, perhaps with the exception of the factory museum, no one else will have.
