"Sykes flies" indeed! [thumbsup] [Dolph] I'm digging the improvement of the Kawi with Sykes on board. I guess re-directing the MotoGP guys and $$ toward the WSBK program is working out. That just adds to the list of bikes and riders banging handlebars at the front. What's not to like? [popcorn] Now if BMW would just eat a piece of humble pie and go with a different electronic control package we'd be cooking with gas! ;) I've said it before but WSBK is everything MotoGP should be.

Good luck with that.

make the beast with two backs!  :o

How does his lap times compare? It would be interesting to see if it's not just raw power.

he was 5th or 6th, but he's still recovering from that PI hand injury

Didn't stop the 07' Ducati from winning MotoGP.  Pull a gap on the straight, get caught in the twisties, then gap the field once again on the straight.

Didn't stop Biaggi from kicking ass at PI this year either.

Yeah, we'll see more of that from Max/Ape for sure. What he did to the field in the 2nd PI race was make the beast with two backsing awesome to watch. Dead last to 2nd. [clap] [popcorn] [bow_down]

I wonder if Ducati is regretting not fielding the 1199 this year.

probably not....they knew what they were doing when they made that decision based on history of when they did it before with the transition from the 998 to the 999 and from the 999 to the 1098...

Doubtful. They won one of the races, and likely would have taken the 1st if Checa didn't highside himself across the island. They were down on power last year as well, but that didn't stop them.

After seeing Biaggi's performance in the second race I wonder if Carlos could have held him off.

Of course Max's MO has been to make mistakes when he's under pressure or pressuring.
