I've found some threads on both the topics but was hoping for some more recent thoughts or experiences.
I'm looking to upgrade the clutch slave cylinder and wanted opinions on a 28.5mm vs. a 30mm and if it was thought that I might even notice that difference. I'm thinking I might but I'm not sure, it's EVR vs. CNC Racing in terms of brand and any other brand suggestions would be appreciated. Both of theses are on Motivation's web site.
For rear sets I was able to find more info here and there and looked at pictures too. I'm liking the Metaltech and Cycle Cat but as a first choice if I could find them might be the Gillies. I'm looking for a set that has the most or more adjust ability than less, by comparison. I find conflicting threads about Rizomas not being adjustable at all but I'm wondering if that's only specific bike models?
Any thoughts or opinions would be much appreciated.
Yoyodyne is another clutch slave company.
No FHE from me, but: http://www.speedzilla.com/forums/ducati-supersport/3694-yoyodyne-clutch-slave-cylinder-vs-evoluzione-clutch-slave-cylinder.html (http://www.speedzilla.com/forums/ducati-supersport/3694-yoyodyne-clutch-slave-cylinder-vs-evoluzione-clutch-slave-cylinder.html)
On rearset, (no FHE as well) my top two drools are Cyclecat and Motorrad. Here's my old list from a couple of years ago:

Thanks CDawg, I looked at a few of the rearset links for those I haven't seen yet and I think I'm liking the Cycle Cat the more I look at and read up on them but I'm still looking too until I pull the trigger. Any idea on the difference in piston size for the slave cylinder if it will be felt in the clutch action?
Anyone have any experience with Ducabike rearsets or knowledge about them.
For adjustability, Cycle Cat and Gilles are superior (Cycle Cat might not yet be available though).
(a few rearsets are not "rear" at all, Rizoma 0-20 mm rear, Sato only up and/or forward....)
Yes, you will feel a difference between 28 and 30 mm slaves. If you need or like that difference is mostly up to your personal preferences.
Thank you, I like the Cycle Cat too for the same reason from what I've read but then as with too many choices...now I'm thinking about the Ducabike.
I might just go with the 30mm.
I talked to Chris at Cycle Cat and he said the DRS53 set, (fitment for my bike), would be available in a month or so but he also said he's been saying that for three months so...could be a while for CC?

Larger slaves will reduce the pressure required, but I seem to recall that there was some trade off with a large slave, but cannot remember...I think it was positive disengagement, but cannot remember for sure. Perhaps someone with more experience can chime in on size of slaves.

Dude, I've been waiting since 2009! LOL!
I was wondering that myself if there would be a trade off but I don't know for sure yet and it does seem like the 28 or 28.5 is the slave of choice, maybe for a reason?

Yoyodyne also markets that their unit is less prone to leakage due to a one piece design. Back when I was thinking about clutch slaves, they were the brand that was top of my list....Ultimately, I got use to the stock clutch pressure and now can crack walnut with my left hand ;)
Found the thread on trade-off of clutch slave sizes:

That's impressive, that left hand walnut action but truth is I'm wondering the same thing about myself. By the time I'd be enjoying that new slave I might just be all pumped up on the left side and not feeling that lever action any more. I'll have to start grabbin' handfulls of front brake too then I guess so I don't look unevenly pumped :D. I worry needlessly.

Thanks I checked it out, I can agree with Sad Panda in terms of changing piston size in a closed pressurized loop and what the effect might be. I think I'll get 28mm and just shelve it as a spare for the oem for now. I could most likely get use to the stock pull in no time I'll just have to ride that bike more often.
