Hi,
I am about to purchase a '11 M1100EVO and i'd like to replace the stock exhaust with the Termi Slip On + ECU package.
My Local mechanic says he can flash the ECU and load a new map onto my stock ECU and it will run better than using the DP ECU.
He also mentioned something about disabling O2 sensors by doing it this way, and this is where he lost me.
Can anyone give me some advice on which way to go?
IF you are getting the termi exhausts it comes with all that's needed.
IF you want to get a different exhaust, the flash gives you tons more options.
as far as O2, read the closed loop thread on the accessories * mods board at the top.

So there is a flash available for the EVO, any details? I have a 2012 EVO with CW GP exhaust and would be very interested in having the ECU reflashed or a unit to replace stock ECU that can work the with the entire fuel curve. I was advised that the current ECU is locked down in the low RPM due to EPA requirements.
