Title: Brake pad classifications, what to buy?
Post by: eichh on April 02, 2012, 04:12:43 AM
Hay guys, when I got my Duc it was used and in the pile of extras there were new pads for the front. I put them on and unfortunately tossed the package. They provide the best braking I have ever experienced. They were average for about 300 miles and then they really started to dig in. Ive had them on for 4000  miles or so and they don't seem to wear faster than usual. What type of pad could those be? I need new ones for my Busa and noticed that there are a ton of choices. Maybe someone recognizes these characteristics.

Thanks

They were probably HH or HH+ rated.

You can accelerate the bedding in by following the procedure here.   http://www.stoptech.com/technical-support/technical-white-papers/bed-in-theory-definitions-and-procedures/brake-pad-bed-in (http://www.stoptech.com/technical-support/technical-white-papers/bed-in-theory-definitions-and-procedures/brake-pad-bed-in)
