OK so I just scored myself a pretty sweet deal, a 2012 EVO only 45 days old with 1,850 miles on it. Came with full termi/ecu/filter kit. factory tail chop, 14T sprocket installed, some red frame plugs, red bar ends, and a red clutch slave for $13,500  [Dolph]

After putting a few miles on it, I really love the suspension compared to the S2R-1000, the brakes are way better and the ABS and DTC are also great to have. On the downside, the gearbox seems very notchy at low speed and neutral is much more difficult to select, but ironically clutchless upshifting is very slick. The seat is pretty damn hard and I'm still trying to get used to the new gauges, as they seem to be too low for quick glances. Probably the biggest difference seems to be the engine, it feels a lot more buzzier and seems to lack some of the low down torque of the S2R-1000. Has anybody else noticed this difference? I guess I was expecting a bit more considering the extra displacement and 5 extra ponies.

So are you gonna sell your Zard exhaust?  If so id like first chance to buy.

So did you trade your 1k in to the dealer?

I have found the only reliable way to find neutral is to go up from 1st.

And then only if the oil is warm.

Once I sorted that no dramas just diff technique.

Found any difference with a reverse shift pattern?

Same issue here with neutral on my Evo....I two finger clutch which it doesn't like.  In order for me to get it into neutral I have to pull the clutch all the way in, whole hand, and then make sure my heel of my left foot is right up against the heel guard.  It will then slip into neutral.  If I have my foot to the outside of the peg it won't go into neutral...

Keep in mind it is a new bike and still needs to be broken in.  Once you get used to it and get some real miles on it the bike will smooth out.

I don't have any advice, but the bike is really sharp!  The Termis look great.

 [thumbsup] The gearbox on my 1500 mile Evo is a peach, with neutral being very easy to find. You do need to use more pressure than other bikes, though. If you want notchy, try a Triumph. Jeez!

only 5hp difference between the two?  Somehow I thought it was more. 

Does anybody feel like the bike is still over geared even after switching to a 14T front? I actually took the sprocket cover off and counted the teeth to make sure the 14T had been installed.

You can buy the Zards, you just have to buy the rest of the bike with them  :P
