I'm new to Ducatis and my 1st visit to the shop is for the swollen tank issue. In my attempt to be informed, I read the various threads, and did a search or two of my own for ethanol, gasonline and water reaction. Appears to come from a company USA Fuel Service. Info is here

Reading closely, you'll see that they only reccomend gas shok as a fuel stabilizer, not something to remove water.
As of right now, there is no real way to have a gas additive "remove" the water from the fuel. If you check the plastic tank expansion thread in the general forum you'll see there is one that might work as shown by a 3rd party test... ducatiz is the one that posted the information and I think that startron was the product. And I think that product only helps to prevent the phase seperation.
The only other way I can think of how to remove water is this funnel:

However, it wont remove water that hasnt phase separated yet.
The product tiz mentioned was K100 because they sent him some independent testing results. To a degree this product "encapsulates" water. http://www.k100fueltreatment.com/index.html (http://www.k100fueltreatment.com/index.html)
Stabil and Startron would not send him 3rd party test results.
You can find the MSDS docs for Startron and Stabil on the web. They are all different formulations of kerosene, mineral spirits, propanol, ethylene glycol, etc etc etc.
K100 was the ONLY one that has had third party testing done (and that was by a prospective customer, not by a paid lab).
They sent me the test results. Startron and Golden Eagle (Stabil) did not reply to repeated requests.
Stabil/startron works fine to help burn old gasoline, but K100 is the only one that actually prevents water from separating in the fuel. How long that works, I don't know, but probably long enough for medium term storage of your bike.
Startron has worked for me in all my stored engines.
It even works in my generator and it only runs once or twice a year.
Yea, roger. Lots of information. I re-read the Phaser 3000 and it does claim to absorb water. This is the one my boat dealer recommended, says it's superior to stabil. The Gas Shok claim is to prevent "water issues", whatever that may mean. It's all a pain in the backside, thanks to big brother.

You have to be careful with the various products in this space. Many of them use an alcohol as a water "remover" as they all absorb water and can burn in the mixture. The most common is isopropanol or propanol also known as isopropyl.
THis is the active ingredient in Stabil.
Gas Shok is Stoddard solvent, I'm not a chemist, but I have my doubts.

Phazor 3000 is adding alcohol to your alcohol, not a good thing.

AMS replaced the tank, and suggested K-100 for treatment.
Great place to have your Duc serviced, very friendly, communicate well, and appear very competent.
