Im wondering if any of you learned types can help me here.
I have what I am lead to believe is a 2000 model 900ss front end on my 2001 Honda VTR 1000F (Superhawk). I didnt do the conversion, so i'm not sure of the year model used.
What I want to know is, can I swap the SS tope yoke for a Monster top yoke. The reason for this is I want a top yoke with risers and one piece bars, not clip ons.
So, does anyone know if there is a list/chart that shows the dimensions of different top yokes that I can use to figure out which one I need to search for?
Thanks

IIRC, the SS has a 30mm offset triple and the Monster a 25mm offset.
What year Monster? I believe the ST derived frame came with a different offset. Was it 25mm before '02 and 30mm after? I have no idea about the newer frames.

I believe you are correct. Pretty sure if it's on a VTR they would have used the older triples do to the closer stem sizes. But yes, please more info.
It has 30mm offset, 50mm dia forks with 205mm center and a 24mm head stem.
I hope that helps ???
The 50mm sounds right. Does your SS triple have the stem nut with the eight holes like the ie bikes?
'01 and earlier Monsters have 25mm offset, 26mm stem diameter for the bearings, upper triple has 24mm diameter hole for the stem.
'01 S4 and all '02 and later Monsters have 30mm offset, 35mm stem diameter for the bearings, upper triple has 40mm diameter hole for the stem 'nut'.
Not sure of the offset of the 696/796/1100 hardware, but the stem diameter is very likely the same, as the stem nut is the same.

Yes eight holes.
and the lower clamp is 54mm I think
I checked out a huge pile of Monster top yokes at a wreckers today and every one of them had a 25mm offset.
I think i'll just have a look at getting some 40-50mm single bolt risers and using the top yoke I already have.
Thanks for your input guys
