Title: Master cylinder swap for 750 Dark
Post by: memper on April 11, 2012, 09:12:52 AM
So I just got a 750 Dark and the clutch lever is super tight. I did a clutch master swap on a Japanese project bike and used the masters from a Hypermotard. They were radial and the clutch pull was like butter.
If I swapped out the Dark's stock clutch master for say a radial from a Duc 1198, would that make the clutch pull any easier?
THanks

...or does anyone know the stock bore size for my clutch and brake masters?

What year 750 dark?

Some clutch masters were 12mm, some were 13mm.

Single front disc 13mm, Dual front disc 16mm.

Sorry, its a '99
So the brake may be a 13x...?
And the clutch may be a ...x...?

A '99 should have a 13mm clutch master.

It's stamped on the body of the master cylinder, usually on the bottom forward ledge of the reservoir area.
Last 2 digits....

I believe the hypermotards were both 16x18. Would this be too big of a jump with stock springs? I dont wanna have to get in there for the springs.
