Title: Helmet Speakers
Post by: He Man on April 12, 2012, 05:46:54 AM
Has anyone ever purcahsed the Xsound2 from Iasus?

I picked up a throat mic from them, and i was hoping to just use earbuds with them, but i forgot how uncomfortable they are.

I wear earplugs ALL the time when i ride, so im afraid the xsound2 wont be loud enough. Unforuntely all the reviews online are of people who dont wear earplugs.

Edit: ehh. got a response back from iasus-logistics.com...i just bought the throat mic, and there was an option for a discount  of $6.00 for the helmet speakers at the time of purchsae, i didnt take it. and since im making another order i asked if they could extend that discount since i havent even owned the mic for more than 3 days.

they flat out said no, which i understand im not entitled to, but really? i didnt think it was that big of a deal to ask, but they made it seem like it was rude to ask.

They are also charging me $13 to mail a small wire to me. and i already paid $20 to have the throat mic shipped to me, i asked if they could just flat rate it to me, they also said no, it would cost them too much money to have it sent via flat rate (even though they ship USPS priority already). Their shipping costs are RIDICULOUS. They have another website calld headsetgadgets.com and to ship a small helmet speaker is $14.00 (the item is $20.00).

atop of that, they are refusing to  answer my question about the connector for my Nokia phone even though i asked about it over 4 times.

i would NOT suggest purchasing from iasus-logistics.com (a specific distributor) unless you just know the wire combination you want to buy will work for sure.

why don't you just buy a Scala q4?  it's blue tooth, speakers, radio and phone.

First of all fit-ear is the quality stuff, there were plenty of vender's hocking their similar Looking, but crap, for cheap.

There were making the " made on site ear plugs", 1 thru 5 drivers for 20% off, no tax. I bought the 1 driver plugs and a set of premium ear plugs.
I returned to moto gp last year and returned the "made on site" ear plugs for the M-2 dual driver ear plugs, which are factory made and where mailed to my house a week later. As long as the old ear plugs fit well with no discomfort, the used them to make molds for the new ear plugs
I think it was a show special but the price of my "made on site" ear plugs were credited towards the bad ass m-2 Dual driver ear plugs that I now use.

The Sena kit is outstanding. I've been using it for at least a year. I don't have the earbud version, but you may want to consider it on the Monster.

Here's a thread on ADVRider about the SMH-10:
