Title: Goodbye my love.... Post by: DucsLikeBread on April 16, 2012, 09:59:39 AM So my friend posted my 2004 Ducati Monster 620 for sale on CL just to see if anyone would be interested, I really had no intention of selling it. After 3hours of the post my friends email had about 10 responds and I had 3 calls from people who wanted to check it out. I got terrified at the thought of my mistress with someone else but after a long conversation with the g/f I realized it was probably best to sell it, I just purchased a KTM RC8R so I knew I would neglect the Monster. It would just sit there collecting dust which is something that it does not deserve.
So later on the first person who took a look at it snatched it from my hands :(. Today he will come pick it up and my sexy beast will give another infinite joy. Title: Re: Goodbye my love.... Post by: rule62 on April 16, 2012, 10:12:38 AM I thought that I would sell my yellow 2004 Ducati Monster 620 when I bought my 748. Just like you, I thought that it would be neglected and just collect dust. I'm glad I didn't do it. The 748 is an awesome bike, as is the RC8R (obviously), but it's so much different than the Monster. Everytime I ride the 620 I remember just why I didn't sell it. It's just so easy to ride. When asked why I need 2 yellow Ducatis in my garage my answer is something like this. "Sometimes you need a steak knife and other times you need a scalpel." Think twice my friend. If he hasn't picked it up yet, call the deal off.

I'm saving that for later use. In my case it'd more like "sometimes you need a steak knife, sometimes you need a rolling pin"... because my bikes are so different. Ever since I bought the new bike, I've been trying to decide if/how long to keep the Duc. It's just SO easy to use around town and commuting, so I still have it. Title: Re: Goodbye my love.... That's why I always seem to buy exhaust systems second hand....can't imagine dropping that coin on exhaust [laugh] Title: Re: Goodbye my love....
