Title: Keeping brake lines off tire Post by: Nomad on April 19, 2012, 10:39:31 AM I'm running custom brake lines and no front fender. When the bike is stationary, the lines clear the front tire very well. But, they have been worn down pretty good, to the steel part, obviously they are rubbing when the bike is in motion.
Any tips and tricks besides some ugly zip ties to keep this from happening? (other than running with a front fender) Title: Re: Keeping brake lines off tire Post by: stopintime on April 19, 2012, 10:55:37 AM I assume they rub when the fork is compressed.
Maybe/probably a matter of how they are mounted through the lower triple and/or the banjo orientation. Could also be that they are too long? You'd have to fashion one - but they can been seen on cable drive speedo monsters as and example.
