Title: What is the difference in specs for the 2007 "Corse" model? Post by: FutureMan on April 22, 2012, 08:08:09 AM 695 Corse to be exact...
trying to determine if it's just a design package or if there are performance mods as well new to ducatis... sorry for the dumb question, i searched, but no luck (http://images.craigslist.org/5N55F25He3G43I83Jcc43ca44d28d55c01f66.jpg) Title: Re: What is the difference in specs for the 2007 "Corse" model? Post by: Ums on April 22, 2012, 08:24:16 AM There is no such bike. Ducati never offered a corse edition for the 695 or even the current gen Monsters. The only corse option for the monsters are the corse colored skins for the new monsters.
Do a search for this bike, the only one that will come up is this one, for sale in NY. Title: Re: What is the difference in specs for the 2007 "Corse" model? Post by: junior varsity on April 23, 2012, 08:29:17 AM Just a heads up, there are only a few "special" Monsters out there:
Foggy S4 Capirex 620 Matrix 620 City 900 Chromo 900 Metallic 900 Otherwise things work by a standard formula: The number is the engine displacement (approximately), the letters "IE" or "ie" stand for fuel-injection. The letter "S" suffix denotes fancy suspension. There are no Monsters with an "FE", "SP", "SPS", "SPO", "R" suffix. If you see S2R, it has a single sided swingarm and a 2-valve (desmodue) engine. If you see an S4R, it has a single sided swingarm and a 4-valve (desmoquattro) engine. If you see S4RS, it has a single sided swingarm, "S" suspension, and a 4-valve engine (testastretta). There are no corse / corsa Monsters. There are no "R" Monsters. The 600 was the lowest spec Monster available in the USA. It was replaced by the 620. The 620 was replaced by the 695. The 695 was replaced by the 696. Usually only the highest-specification Monster will be available as an "S" model: For example M900 & M900S, and later the M1000 & M1000S, and latest: M1100 & M1100S. Title: Re: What is the difference in specs for the 2007 "Corse" model? Post by: mgrisham on April 24, 2012, 04:04:57 PM I asked CL poster if the tank had been replaced. Expected some response, maybe that it was ok, or only needed new brackets, whatever. No reply.

No reply. yeah I gave up on this bike, the seller is very unmotivated, which I actually understand, I wouldn't be in a rush to sell either, but it makes me wonder if he was as lax about other things when it came to the bike. i found this on CL, got it for almost the same price, in almost brand new condition. i'm happy.
