A coast run would be perfect for the heat. It will only be in the upper 70's to 80's rather then the 90's. ;)

I plan on being at the Tillamook Farmers Market (Second and Laurel Ave. in downtown Tillamook) at Noon, Should give you guys plenty of time get here and you can eat at the market.  Check out time is 11:00 for me and I'll be up there to meet you.  Even if you were to head back to PDX I can ride with you for a bit.

I have to work saturday. If the plan is to go up Hwy 30 to Astoria then down to where ever I could probably meet up as you pass through St. helens area. I've been meaning to make that trip since I work out here.

i could meet up for a while, i have to be back home at noon so i could ride for an hour or so then would have to drop off to make my way back home..... its better than nothing i guess.. [bang]

The route:  Hwy 26 to Hwy 217, to Scholls Ferry Rd, South on 219 to Bald Peak, west to Gaston/Hwy 47, north on 47 through Vernonia to Scappoose-Vernonia Rd, east on S-V Rd to Hwy 30.

Rad.

So we meeting at 9 am? Really? I better sober up real quick then.

I predict i will roll up at 9:05 AM, no later.

hey ryan did you hit a pothole or something? There was a time you almost came to a stop on the backroads there, and you started to shake your head a few times then you sped up.....or maybe i was imagining it.

He and John just witnessed a Bambi VS Minivan moment.

Bambi didn't make it. :'(

Yeah... we watched bambi jump out in front of us... and then the mini van smacked him... he spun out down the side of the road... I was waiting to see if there was more... or if bambi was going to jump up and head our way... but bambi decided to take a nap instead... amazing how you can be jumping around and then sleep so queitly.   If that wasn't the time you were talking about... a couple of times... I was cooking a long and a car was passing another car heading towards us... at the closing speeds we were doing... had I kept up the pace... we would have been too close for comfort....  All and all, a fun ride. We stopped at the market to get some water and wait for you guys... and we waived you down as you shot past us... guess our pretty bikes didn't catch your attention. Nice ride!!! Woo hoo! Hot though.

Hey brother, our bikes were both S4RS'. Johnny's was a little more stock than mine, but they were the same bike.
You can find em used for near 12k with good mods and stuff, but really they aren't much less than a superbike. Just a matter of what floats your boat.

you can get yourself a set of $100 apex clipons from Jeff at Monsterparts. I've heard really good things about those.

I tried to hit a kill switch and Viktor swatted me.   [thumbsup]

thanks for the info! i think i will be getting some. I'll need some grips too, anyone know if i switch to clip ons if my brake and clutch lines will be long enough? or any other problems i should think of?

The lines should be fine so long as you run with two pair of grips  ;)
