Adjust chain to proper slack with tensioners, tighten axle to spec, then tighten tensioners. If you don't tighten the tensioners after tightening the axle the plates will come loose and cause damage.
Yep - you're torquing the adjustors too soon. Like Howie said you set the axle position/chain tension, clamp down that big nut on the axle and then do a final snug on the adjustment screws.
At the right chain tension there's not going to be any more torque needed to move those than what needed to overcome the mechanical drag of the threads in the block and the axle on the swingarm.

This ^^^^^
That is well said. Even I understood it.
Tighten that big 32mm axle nut to torque spec.
Then use the tensioner screws for the fine adjustment.

Other way around -
use the tensioner screws to set the axle position/chain tension
*THEN* lock down the big nut.
If you tighten the big axle nut first you should not be able to move the adjustment blocks. If you can... that's an issue.
Once you have the big nut torqued down then you just snug up the tensioner screws so they hold in place. If you don't vibration can back them out. Best case you notice early on and put them back to right (happened to me) worst they get loose enough that the end cap of the swing arm falls off with the bolt or clips the wheel and gets mangled up.

Mine is 30mm. is yours really 32mm?

yes 32mm
Interesting. I wonder why the different sizes on the same year same size
