I don't think they are on the endangered species list.

I don't like the preachy PETA people, but don't you think that is a little extreme?!!! Just a good ass-whoopin occasionally.
hehe Flying Rats..
even Grand Theft Auto 4 is on board w/ that ;D
If attending Wimbledon, I would suggest staying away from the fried chicken...
While seemingly inexpensive, they're a little dinky, there's not much meat on the bones...

Put them together and kick ass. PETA and Greenpeace aren't that different.
OMG!! I saw this, this morning and almost puked. "clearly in violation of the law"? STFU! Shoulda brought the marks men for the PETA people instead of the damn birds.

Quail is quite a popular dish... Hmmmm...
I miss the days when dad and I would shoot the pidgeons nesting in our barn (their crap rotted the wood beams, very dangerous in the long run.) We were sporting about it, we'd scare them with a loud noise and then use the 12 guage to get them once they had flown. No fun shooting sitting, uh, ducks.
I have no sympathy for the little buggers. First animal I killed was a pidgeon and I never regretted it. They should bring in all the former fox hunters and the skeet shooting club and let them have a field day.
Ghetto grouse.
Come and get me PETA... I've killed thousands!
My friends dad used to pay us to kill em when we were kids. Wipe out most of em from the farm, 2 weeks later there are new residents. Did this for years.
As a general rule I hate cruelty to Animals, But Pidgeons are a pest, Kill a couple of Dozen and 100 more will take there place, as long as they are dispatched quickly I would personally put my hand up to pull the trigger.
And if they are Shitting all over tables and in areas where people are consuming food and drink, Then I think it is a smart Idea, How many pidgeons is one human life worth if someone gets food poisining and dies (Rare I know, but it does happen, Imagine the Public Liability for that!)
I think PETA should go after more Important Animal cruelty issues, rather than chasing some people getting rid of some flying rodents.
My $.02 (AUD)
One morning after work (in Indy), I walked outside the ER doors headed home. It was a warm spring day, but fluffy white stuff was slowly floating down from the sky ...it looked like snow and there was tons of it. I reached out and caught one and it was a tiny little feather. I looked around for a bit for the source, and way the hell up on one of those super-tall utility poles, a hawk was tearing a pidgeon to shreds and ripping out feathers.
I think the pidgeons got off lucky when they called in gunmen. Death by hawk would suck.
pigeons cut off my leg and burned my house.
pigeons are the reason that i have the ED.
pigeons stole my dog
actually, when i was a messenger i would get screened by the damn things. once i ran straight into the back of a box truck at around 15 mph. he pulled out from the curb and couldn't see me because the pigeons took off as he started to move. ic ouldn't see him moving because of the birds either. >:(
when i realized i was on the ground i looked over and saw tire tread way to close to my face coming to an abrubt stop. that would be a shitty way to go out.
Anybody have a clue what law it is that PETA is purporting this to be violating?

That's not important to them. They'll figure something out when the lawyers get involved.
But you have a point. Just because you may not agree doesn't make it illegal
I think they didn't shoot enough pigeons imo, i hate PETA
