Title: 1100 EVO Spark exhaust
Post by: Mugen939 on May 19, 2012, 08:41:07 AM
So I installed my exhaust last night after waiting for about 2 months for the damn thing. I have to say I freaking love it!! the sound and gurgle at idle is so amazing. I'm runnning it so far without the baffles and it's loud as hell. I'm trying to see if I get used to it or if I'm going to have to throw the baffles in. The only issue I had with the exhaust was that  I was told that it would come with the spark fender eliminator but it didn't. That wasn't too bad of an issue since I have an evotech already installed with an integrated tail light, this is how she came out. The reason I went with this exhaust was because it fit so tight to the tail that it really cleaned up the rear tremendously. overall I really, really love the way it looks.

I had a good look at those on the Desmoworld stand at last years Milan show, if I was going to mod a new style monster that would be the system of my choice for the same reasons you stated... [thumbsup]

and thus defeating the only real reason to get an 1100evo.. the lock cylinder location for the seat release...

looks and sounds sweet though! not sure if i like the whine of the intake though, but looks nice [bacon]

That loks freaking awsome!!!!  I have been back and forth between Spark and a few others and you just sealed the deal for me, now to find the money.  Also did you have to re-flash your ECU for that system and is that custom paint or a monster art kit?

Thanks for the compliments, the bodywork is a custom carbon fiber set from Carbonvani. A bit pricey but I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.

How is the fueling on the bike? My concern is runability with the new system. Good buy though! Not to knock any other kits but this is by far the best looking system for our bikes in my opinion. Did you contact the vendor regarding the fender eliminator kit? I would be a little upset that it didn't get delivered as advertised, especially since I haven't installed a fender eliminator kit due to looking at this exhaust expecting it to come with it...who did you order it from?

I ordered this from Motowheels. I haven't contacted them yet i've been way too busy with other issues now. Not to mention that I need new tires as well.

Fueling/run ability changes?? Also how many miles did you get out of your tires?

The bike feels the same to me. Top end feels just as strong. the bike is definitely running leaner. There's more popping on decel. I plan on getting a bazazz system to clean that up though.

I'll be posting another thread with my tire review but I've been happy with them. So far I have 5200 miles on them including a track day. They have never once slipped on me and I run with traction control off. I'm thinking I can stretch out another few hundred miles before they become too dangerous for me to ride them. once that happens I'll post up my full review.

I already bought a set of bridgestone S20's to replace them. the price was just too good to pass up and they've gotten decent reviews so I wanted to check them out.
