I have been looking into the ducati low seat that is about 20mm lower than the stock. 2002-2008 models. I was wondering if anyone has got one and can tell me what they think. Kinda hard to find reviews online.

This is the one I'm thinking about, I am pretty sure the seat cowl will still fit on it, but I want to hear a little bit about how the riding position changes and comfort. Much appreciated.

I have the Ducati low gel on my '06, and it was a marked improvement over stock. My Dark has no cowl, but I'm pretty sure it still fits, as this seat is no larger than stock in the pillion area. I found that I could just about double my mileage/comfort with it. Of course, reviews for things like this are COMPLETELY subjective, but I certainly don't regret picking mine up.
The link doesn't say gel or not (so I assume it's not), and I'm not sure how that difference would affect the comfort, but I believe part of my perception was the comfort that the gel added.
Looks like the stock seat from the early 6xx series monsters. They were lower than the bigger monsters stock seats by ~20mm. That is not the gel dp comfort seat.
You should be able to find a used one on here or cl for half the price too.
I swapped out the stock seat for the OEM low seat when I purchased my 2012 696 a few weeks ago. I'm about 5'6" with a 30" inseam, and I can get both feet almost completely flat on the ground now. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

P.S. - If anyone wants to buy my stock seat, it's on Craigslist:
