Title: 2009 Ducati Monster 696 and Cortech Sport Saddlebags Post by: felixbaum on May 21, 2012, 05:52:28 PM Have anyone used these: http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/catalog/Sport-Saddlebags-p-149_31.html (http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/catalog/Sport-Saddlebags-p-149_31.html) on a 2009 model of the Monster 696? How do they fit? I am concerned about exhost pipes (standard) getting in a way and burning a hole in the bag!
Title: Re: 2009 Ducati Monster 696 and Cortech Sport Saddlebags Post by: Link on May 22, 2012, 06:53:01 AM They fit great...........But my 696 has Leo Vince carbon cans on it & they get warm but prob. not near as hot as stock exhaust & they are also tucked in better then stock. The bags lay right against the LV cans and we had no problems on a 500 mile ride we also used the tail bag that hooks into the side bags. The quality of these bags is top notch & the versatility of them esp the tail bag makes these a 10 out of 10. I've used them on a 696, a kawi 636, Aprilia Touno, KTM 690 SMC, a 1973 Moto Guzzi Eldorado & a Suzuki 750 GSXR and they still look great and function as good as they did new. Try taken a piece of materiel similar to the padding that is on those bags (there is a some type of dense foam rubber padding on them) go for ride and lay it on you pipe to see if it melts or burns. Or along the bag purchase get your self some LV slip on's & your worry's are over !
