Title: Possible rebuild kit for goldline caliper?
Post by: Nibor on May 25, 2012, 05:42:49 AM
It seems rebuild kits for the 4 pot brembo 30/34 goldline calipers are rather hard to source. I may have found a kit for the billet goldline caliper, just wanted see if anyone can tell me why this wouldn't be compatible with the standard cast goldline caliper?

I've never had to do mine so it hasn't been an issue for me, I have read several people report how difficult it seems to be to get rebuild kits as Ducati/Brembo wont supply them.
The solution I've seen to all of these was to look for Aprilia or KTM kits, they use the same brembo calipers and the rebuild kits would be the same as the ones Ducati themselves would supply if they had a mind to.
Dont know about availability in the US, perhaps someone else could chime in.

I just rebuilt my two front Brembo Goldlines with 30/34 universal kits from yoyodyne fit is factory and they are working great. Now the rear is a different story I had zero luck finding any kind of kit after looking for quite awhile. But if you price the rear new you will find it is very reasonable.

Hey Nibor
You tried the local brake shops? I had PBR rebuild calipers for various bikes (Harley and Honda). Worth a try.

....especially when you consider that it comes complete with everything including a set of pads  [thumbsup]

whoops, looks like yoyodyne has the same billet/GP kit. and i didnt notice the universal kit there thanks swampmonster. i had found the kit at rscycles.com.

either way, got a pair of 2nd hand calipers from gotham cycles, i may grab a universal kit down the track for my old caliper.
