Title: SBK fork options - M900 Post by: Nottsbiker on May 28, 2012, 03:43:27 AM Hi All,
I've picked up a set of early 916 Showa forks with 40mm mounts so I can keep my stripped and rebuilt early Brembo calipers. I know that I need to bore my stock top yoke, and space my bottom yoke (triple trees as you know them) but as I want to be fitting some oversize bars which I've yet to figure out how, I thought I'd ask quiz the monster collective as what is best to do next. Ideally a new set of yokes that enable me to fit the 916 forks to my early (carbed) 900 Monster but also enable me to have some better looking large diameter handlebars at the same time. I think I've narrowed it down to the 2 options; 1. Stock bored / shimmed with some kind of converters (cant find any for early Monsters) 2. Speedymoto yokes - think these are out of production and were designed for clip-ons not traditional bars 3. Something else ??? All suggestions greatfully received [thumbsup] Ben Title: Re: SBK fork options - M900 Post by: stopintime on May 28, 2012, 04:04:20 AM "something else" yes [thumbsup]

It has shims for the lower triple. If you're interested we can talk deal via PMs
It's black - and requires some flavor of clip on. The cyclecat tops have no accommodation handle bar mounts. Title: Re: SBK fork options - M900 Post by: Nottsbiker on May 29, 2012, 08:47:37 AM Cheers for the offer but I want regular bars on my monster.
If she was going to be a toy I'd happily run clip ons but I sometimes use my bike for work and prefer the leverage around town from handle bars. Cheers [thumbsup] Title: Re: SBK fork options - M900 Post by: Nottsbiker on May 29, 2012, 11:16:15 PM PS I emailed them yesterday with a few questions and got a reply waiting for me first thing this morning at work which was very detailed and informative - seems like very good customer service to me [clap]
