Title: Is there anyone in DFW..
Post by: Hershell on May 29, 2012, 02:14:31 AM
That can remap the ECU or do a custom tune. I'm new to the area, I moved to Greenville about 3 months ago. I ended up buying a 09 1100s with 2400 miles. I love the bike, its my 1st Ducati. Despite how much I like the bike I have to get the starting issue fixed.  I work 12hr shifts, I don't want to spend 15 mins every morning when I get off sitting in the parking lot trying to start my bike.  [bang]  I know there has to be a fix for this. I ordered a Arrow full system for it 2 weeks ago and it should be here this week. I am really asking for sugestions as well. I need someone that knows how to tune a twin.

thanks.

Did you get the charcoal canister deleted? I have an '09 1100 and once that was gone so was my hard starting issues.

I guess I'm back to square 1, the canaster has alredy been removed. I'm going to remove the lines that have been capped and cap the nipple at the TB boot. I guess there is a small chance there is a air leak somewhere. I sure was hopefull this was the problem.

-----------------------------

Update...  [thumbsup] I capped the fitting at the throttle body and it seems to have fixed the problem. I also added a little Lucus octane boost to the tank. I'm not sure if both helped or just one. I have never used octane boost, I've always thought of it as being a wast of money.  Thanks for the help.  [bow_down]  [bow_down]  I was ready to sell it the other day after sitting in the parking lot for 20 minutes.

glad to hear you got the issue resolved  [thumbsup]

I'd stay away from the octane boost stuff though, there's no reason that would help this issue or really much else either
