Title: How are my spark plugs? Post by: Betlog on June 03, 2012, 05:10:24 PM Hi guys,
I replaced my spark plugs maybe about 400~500 or so miles ago. Today, I decided to pull them off to check. How do they look to you (added new plug in the photo as a reference)? NOTE: It's only been about 400~500 miles since I changed them. (http://i1036.photobucket.com/albums/a447/AgentBetlog/June3_2012_3k_V2.jpg) Title: Re: How are my spark plugs? Post by: Betlog on June 04, 2012, 05:28:22 AM they look fine except your bike is running too lean Does it matter that I've only run the bike about 400~500 miles? Wouldn't the insulator darken up with more mileage (at least I'm hoping so)? Or will the insulator tips show engine color immediately after only a few miles? I think most folks pull the plug out after a few thousand, not hundred, miles. Title: Re: How are my spark plugs? Your plugs are fine. +1.Especially the upper porceline . Check the porcelin where it meets the bottom of the plug inside. You'll need a good flashlight, look for a tan or brown colored ring around the base or part way down inside. |
