Title: Diablo Rosso 2 review
Post by: Mugen939 on June 04, 2012, 07:14:17 AM
Since there hasn't been a good writeup on these tires that I could see I figured that I would throw something up. These tires came stock with my EVO and I'd highly recommend them to anyone who needs an aggressive sport tire for hard street riding and occasional track days. I was able to get 5880 miles out of this set with includes one track day. Just as a preface let me say that I ride with traction control off all the time,I just don't want to develop any bad habits when riding. Throughout their life they've been nothing less then confidence inspiring. Never once did they slip or fail to track the line that I wanted. They heated up very quickly and I found my tire pressures to be quite stable. I only rain them in rain once and they performed fine. Even when they rear was this shot I never felt the tire give way. Tip in was very progressive on these tires as opposed to say pilot powers which can give the sense of "falling" into turns.  This is generally a matter of preference though since either design work. Personally I like progressive tires. I followed the spec recommendation for tire pressures and the it worked out well for me. On the track I ran 31 front and rear and it worked great. In my opinion great tires are supposed to be completely overlooked. You know how great a tire is if in over 3k miles never once have you thought about them during a ride. And the Rosso 2's were this kind of tire. I could have eeked out another few hundred miles out of the front but there really was no reason to push it. Overall, great tire. I'm replacing them with new bridgestone s20's since I just couldn't pass up the price on them. We'll see how they stack up.
