Title: Is the new Monster 696 compatible with Scorpio Alarms? Post by: elevy18 on June 25, 2008, 10:27:32 PM I just bought a new Monster 696 and I was wondering what could I do to secure my investment. I looked at a whole bunch of alarm systems and found out that the top of the line in motorcycle alarms was made by Scorpio. If I install their alarm, will I have a conflict with the electrical system and/or the bike's computer? what other alternatives do I have? How does Ducati's alarm compare to after market alarms? Is it worth it to get Ducati's alarm from the dealership?
I also looked at Xena disc locks with alarm and most parts and gear stores told me that they are not worth the money since most of the times they do not work properly. Lo Jack seems to be a good option if it didn't cost all that much (I was quoted almost $900 at the dealership). Please help!!!! Best regards, Elliot Title: Re: Is the new Monster 696 compatible with Scorpio Alarms? and +1 to the Scorpio Having the alarm installed shouldn't have any effect on the computer, electronics, etc... The only question is if the 696 uses the same connectors as the other Monsters so you can use the Factory plug in kit... I emailed and got a prompt response that my s2r 800 does use the same connectors (though it's not listed on their website) and everything was a cinch to install. -Toby Title: Re: Is the new Monster 696 compatible with Scorpio Alarms?
