A few weeks ago the regulator on my s4 fried the battery so I replaced the battery and regulator and the bike won't start won't even turn over the fuel pump works the clocks wiz round the dash lights all come on and then go off as normal when you turn the key but the yellow engine light stays on after the switch on sequence as well as the small imobilizer light which never happened before. Now this might be an impossible question to answer without seeing the bike but does this sound like imobilizer or ecu that has been damaged any help or pointers would be appreciated.
Took the clocks apart today on the s4 and after inspection found a small burn mark on the printed circuit board so I took it to the local computer repair wizard who did a few brief tests on the board and found two fried chips and he says he should be able to replace them for a small fee so here's hoping I'll get them back tomorrow and hopefully the duc will be back to life I'll post my progress.
The s4 is now running it was to very small micro chips on the circuit board of the clocks that had fried as well as the battery the cost of the fix was â,¬50 which was a lot cheaper than buying a new set of clocks the cheapest I have seen on flea bay was â,¬400 so I'm one happy ducati owner once again. If anybody else has similar probs message me and I will gladly help.
any pic?
