Title: just booked tickets to Sepang! :)
Post by: monsta on June 17, 2012, 03:26:01 PM
for the princely sum of $67, booked 2 tickets for 2 days in the main grandstand at Sepang for the motogp in October!  [evil]
The Friday practice is free...

When you live in WA it's a LOT cheaper to see the motogp in Malaysia, I know heaps that do it every year, but this'll be my first.

So jealous.

I hope you get a better race than last year. That one still stings.

Congrats Monsta,

Always wanted to do the same, any chance on giving us a break down on costs there and back plus accomadation, tickets, travel costs etc.

Sounds like fun, hope you have a great time.

Exorbitant costs is one thing ... but you're all just trying to avoid the 'interesting' weather that the Island always seems to throw up aren't you?

I REALLY enjoyed my trip to PI last year, but If you time it right you can get return tickets for $400 to KL, and 5 star hotels are about $150 a night.
For the missus and me its gunna cost just over $4000 for 12 night in Malaysia (8 nights KL, 4 in Penang) stayin in 5 star including flights, brekky etc. That was through a travel agent. Couldn't be bother trawling the web looking for something we had no idea about. But I'm sure we could have shaved a bit off that if we wanted to put the time in.
If your lucky, you 'may' get a one way ticket to Melbourne from Perth for $300 and we could camp at the track.
But you couldn't do the five star motogp thing in OZ for what we're paying (not from Perth anyhow).
I can give more info if anyone's serious...
