There are some great ideas out there but like all current electric modes of transport the technology hasn't improved enough to make economical sense. The weight and cost of the batteries along with the limited range are a huge drawback.

I know this is a homebrew build but predict the batteries will end up in a couple of cars and the rest of the bike in a junkyard.

 looks, feel, excitement, and performance = [puke] I know it's a DIY bike, but still.  I got some article from popular science at work of a gixxer electric conversion, I'll try to post it tomorrow.

also after looking at the eco impact of battery disposal, manufacturing, and recharging they don't look as green as they did at first.

I saw that article too pak, it was interesting but i agree with the eco impact from battery disposal we need to head in another direction.
