so... i am about to buy a set of gixxer 1000 forks from an 04 bike (internals have been redone with ohlins). they will come with the calipers and axle. the question is, does anyone know if i will be able to use my own wheels and rotors? or do i have to buy a GSXR wheel (which i really don't want to do -- because i love my wheels!).
can i just use spacers? ??? or are the axles different? if i can use spacers, does anyone know how i can get them and from whom?
i would really appreciate any help on this! it's like a chance to get sweet, $2000 ohlins suspension up front for less than half that price [drool] and i am putting a penske shock on the back.
i will buy anyone who helps me loads of [drink] in bronxville or around bear mountain. or anywhere. and i will worship you [bow_down]

That should answer most if not all of your questions
Do some research on the rotor offsets, as the guy in the thread above used 320mm rotors instead of the 300mm rotors and I'm not sure if there is an offset difference.
That being said, you'll have to do less machining with a set of SBK forks versus the various parts needed for a GSXR fork swap.
Good luck
thanks! checking out meow
holy, that is an awesome thread!
