Title: Brake leak! =(

Hey all

So after fooling around with the install of my new rearsets. Took it out for a spin.... Only to all of a sudden my rear brake to lock up and all of a sudden my rear brake line just spews oil all over my rear Tire =( close to home so rode home ok... Guess I'll have the dealership have a look at it on Tuesday when it goes in for its first service..... No weekend riding for me =(

Make sure you wash all the brake fluid off the bike!

I don't know what model Monster you have but my brothers 796 has an extremely touchy set-up with a fine line in the free play adjustment.It had been adjusted with drag and heated up and caught fire.

Ya the actual hose is ruptured. Looks like it needs to be replaced. I have a 2012 696 abs

The hose from the reservoir or the hose from the master?

not enough clearance in the rear brake pedal.  fairly common occurance when istalling rearsets, etc.

Um the line that goes to the actual rear disc.

Oh really? Well I hope it's an easy fix...... Going thru withdrawal not being able to ride this weekend!

Dropping off bike today to dealership to get serviced, taillight fixed and brake line fixed....... Hope it all goes well! Wish my duc luck! Haha

Hose has to come in from Italy...... 2-3 weeks........ Withdrawal
