[bow_down] did anyone else with these clip-ons find you have to drill your own hole for the turn-signal bump-thing that sits on the inside of the hand-control thingamajig? ??? I used tape on the buttons...no issues. Our bikes are very similar...except the color!! Let me know how you like those GP Gel grips...they are next on my list. Any new bars will require you to drill for the controls - or grind the pin off the respective control and just let friction, and maybe a layer of tape hold things on. Title: Re: just installed Cycle Cat clip-ons Post by: showerfan on July 11, 2012, 07:25:22 AM i just thought the holes that come in the bars already would line up with something -- one bar has one hole, the other has two. but i cannot for the life of me figure out what they are supposed to do... in any case, i will just grind off the nub for easy adjustment.
I LOVE THESE CLIP-ONS!!! the riding position is SO much better and the adjustment sleeve is so cool -- though i can't imagine i will adjust them that often once i experiment a little and get them set up the way i want. it is, however, much better on hwy than in city. @118811 -- your bike is really a model for me! i want to get a new top triple next -- i'm leaning toward the speedymoto but not sure it'll fit my bike -- and a belly pan. i have some rizoma rearsets on order, as well as a penske shock. and i'm still planning a GSXR or a SBK fork swap. then i will be done (i hope). the pro grips are super comfy and grippy, so they are functionally perfect. i'm not 100% sure i love the way they look -- maybe just a tad too dirtbike-ish. i still have a set of black and grey spider peak grips that i'll probably end up with, but they don't seem as comfortable as the pro grips. the skulls from motogrip looked coolest but hurt my hands on long trips (wah wah!). |
