Ill be there tomorrow morning.
How's the turn out been? Been meaning to make it back but the weather has been bitter cold to ride the Duc out
My kids are hooked! Its been a consistently good showing! There was a 1929 Bentley in amazing condition there last week. Also a sick flat black supercharged ZO6.
Never know what yer gonna see.
That rat rod older Chevy pickup been around? If so get a look under the hood
Small block 427!
Last Saturday, Veyron.
Owner was super cool and patient. Waited for everyone to finish taking pics before taking off.
Was super pissed I missed the Veyron. Saw the pics on one of the car forums. Will be back for first 2013 showing this coming weekend if weather is good.
I've been meaning to take the car down this Spring. This weekend's out due to the music gig Sunday (people should come out even if raining).
I'll post up before a Katie's Saturday. Didn't know folks here went.
My kids love it! So does my wife.......she gets to sleep in!
how does the Katie's event compare to the McLean event?
Aren't they the same?
I knew Statler went out to some Saturday Coffee event near Annapolis which is what I thought THIS thread was refferring to....
katies is the one down in McLean/Great Falls
Saturdays the choice is Great Falls (where I haven't been with the car) or Hunt Valley (which is getting big. Used to be about 30 cars and now has over 800).
Sundays is Annapolis city dock. Small group. Maybe 20 when the weather is nice.
This Sunday (4/28) is Annapolis and then lunch at Mothers. Hoping for at least a dozen cars. Live music. Other thread.

Looks like the weather should be good so Sophia and I should be there!

Katies Cars and Coffee Sickness!
I'll be there between 7:30-8:00. Anyone else?
anyone headed over tomorrow?
last weekend was kind of a bust, not too many cars out on display. More than the usual number of bikes though. I saw a red monster with saddlebags...guess I should have posted in the sighting section.
I didn't make it with the Duc since the thought of rain was enough to scare me off and it seems a fair amount of cars as well. Headed out there on Saturday since weather should be balmy then ride some of the backroads

Couple times Iv'e been - that's about the least interesting ride there. Some really interesting stuff appears there.
LOL you obviously haven't heard it run.
There was a Mclaren there two weeks ago, I've seen the Veyron, Carerra GT and handfuls of Lambos. All cool. Even if its not your cup of tea, its far from "the least interesting ride there"......unless one is big into volvos. ;D
There was a pristine Lincoln Town Car convertible from the 40's (I think) a couple weeks ago. Incredible!

No, but I have heard that rot-rod pickup that shows from time to time. Tatty paint, older PU that is nuts under the hood. Super charged, 454 (I think) with nitrous. Might have had a turbo hidden in there too
When you hear everything that's going on with the Z-06, I can almost promise you'll change yer tune. I'm not a big Corvette guy but that thing stirred me.
secretly they all want a fast duc........... [Dolph]

Hahaha. Serious. They're overcompensating with those 2 extra wheels and multiple cylinders! ;D
I saw a really nice alfa romeo roadster this past weekend, the owner did it up on that car. That rat truck is pretty cool, comes complete with squirrel tail.
Anyone headed there this Saturday?
Maybe, might take the Paso out for a spin, hasn't been ridden in a couple of weeks. - Gene
was there last week Ducless. Will be there with Duc and friend trying to sell his Dad's 911.
I'm sure I will be there, gaggle in tow.
Tomorrow? Anyone else? Ill be the dude with way too many kids around me with a hapless expression......say hi.
Rode out with a buddy who is selling his dads Porsche for him and he almost got nabbed by Moco cops for doing 100+ on 495, would have made for a short morning.
Missed chatting with you rgramjet, saw you and the kiddies lookin at the S4R but I was a bit to far away. Lotsa Tesla's of late. Really liked the Austin and the Lotus. I am the perfect size for that car.
That s4r is just right! Love the belt covers. The white Panigale S was very nice.
Wasnt as crowded as I thought it would be for such a perfect morning.
The dude with the burgundy Tesla was cool. He let the kiddos have a turn sitting in the rear jump seats.

Thanks. I still have a bit of work to do with those. The lower cover has a piece of plexiglass missing. Trying to see if I can get red glass and then recut pieces to fit right. Just fitted some CycleCat rearsets same day after C&C.
anyone headed out there tomorrow AM?
Maybe, we'll see. - Gene
Kiddos want to go.....Im in!

Was there for about 40 minutes. Did you see that old beater with the crazy engine inside? Was parked down the lot by the Porsche's.
There was a nice assortment of cars/bikes; always happy to see bikers attend but not overrun the joint. The triumph dealer that showed was interesting as well. Spent a bit chatting with him about the Street Triple R. It's growing on me.

~'60 Cadillac
~'60 Cadillac with a Cummins Turbo Diesel stuffed in it! That is one special car!
Today there was a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport in white with the top removed. Sick.

almost came out this morning...ALMOST
Saw a rare Aston Martin V12 Zagato this morning. Fantastic lines on that car. Only 70 produced worldwide at 330,000 pounds (GOOD GOD)
I might go this Saturday before heading out to DucPond, we'll see. - Gene
I'm going to Katie's tomorrow on my 796. Anyone going? I believe there may be a few other Ducs as well.
Planning to go before riding out to Ducpond on my Diavel. - Gene
I would love to follow you out to DucPond for the Monster unveiling (havent been there since I bought the bike in April) but i have other obligations. Look forward to meeting you at Katie's
two aventadors at Annapolis cars and coffee last week. Now that I'm South of Baltimore we'll be taking the Mondial down there more often.
I'm a little bit bored with the supercars. Here's another rich dude walking around in his flashy Lamborghini or Ferrari jacket. Yay.
Give me a ratty 1960 Cadillac with a supercharged Cummins turbo diesel, hydraulics and a bud light beer tap handle for a shifter and I'm captivated!
There is also a 50's vintage short bed rat truck powered by a 427 short block and artistically welded rebar for fender trim that is too cool.
Last Saturday there was a McLaren MP4-12C Spyder that had one of the most amazing paint jobs I've ever seen.
Maybe I'm getting jaded....
PS the only reason I knew the model number of the McLaren is my 12 year old son told me.
Dammit.
Just reread my last post......think I'm getting old.
