Title: Fancy Shmancy Belt Covers on a budget... Post by: Super T.I.B on June 27, 2008, 12:50:48 AM Well, I finally got around to finishing my mod on my belt covers.
I used: 1 dremel. 2 Coping Saw with fine toothed blade. 3 Files, ranging from flat bastard to round bastard. ;D 4 Drill. 5 Beer. [thumbsup] I roughed out with a pencil of what i wanted, just sort of free handed it, but for the straight bits, used a rule. I did the top cover first ages ago, before my accident and wanted to get the bottom cover done asap. So, here goes: I had already done the first few cuts before I realised that this may inspire some people, so I whipped the camera out. Post by: Super T.I.B on June 27, 2008, 01:12:51 AM And no, I'm not painting them because of rocks and other crap would just take the paint off, plus, getting that top cover on would scratch the F*CK off the paint before even getting it into position...
Title: Re: Fancy Shmancy Belt Covers on a budget... Post by: Super T.I.B on June 27, 2008, 01:15:17 AM And, on the bike...
(http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3110/2614800159_12e90a07e1.jpg) Just a few hours work and a bit of patience. you don't want to start ripping in with a bastard on thin plastic, you'll break the cover. ;) Title: Re: Fancy Shmancy Belt Covers on a budget... Post by: Super T.I.B on June 27, 2008, 04:36:06 PM There's a few AMCN's lurking under there somewhere, paint brushes, tools, foil!?!? (I think I use that to wrap my paint brushes in so I don't have to keep washing them after a days painting)
After work, I'm going home to start cleaning the place up, I've got a home brew to bottle. ;) I just accumulate so much sh*t in such a small space of time it's unbelievable. [roll] I was running with no covers for a while and liked that look as well, but after cutting up those covers and putting them back on, I like this better. I just noticed the first aid book is still there, to the left. That's there from when I broke my toe. Was trying to fix myself up. [laugh] [laugh] Title: Re: Fancy Shmancy Belt Covers on a budget... Come round and take a peek in my garage some day - just enough room for the bikes [laugh] [laugh] Title: Re: Fancy Shmancy Belt Covers on a budget...
