Title: Ducati Mechanic in NVA - S4Rs timing belts
Post by: supperduc on July 18, 2012, 07:35:42 PM
Hi guys,

I ran into a small problem when trying to replace my 07 S4RS timing belts. I got the gas tank, battery, spark plugs, and belt covers removed. I also removed both belt tensioners to clean them but then forgot to put them back on therefore may have inadvertently messed up the timing mark when I rotate the engine using the crankshaft turning too. Now, I can only turn the crankshaft turning tool only a few rotations clockwise or counter clockwise before something stop it or got caught inside the engine, probably the valves. Anyhow, if you guys know a Ducati Mechanic around NVA who wants to make a few bucks on the side by helping me figuring out the timing mark, please let me know.  Thanks!

Found the problem and was able to fix it last night after copious amount of beer.
