Title: Olympics 2012..
Post by: IZ on July 30, 2012, 07:32:00 PM
Is it my TV screen or or do these guys look weak?  In terms of muscularity and definition I mean?

IIRC..it seems like they're not as muscular as gymnasts in the past.

Anyone have a clue?  Is it because of different training techniques/nutrition?

I'm  an ancient 10 000 meters runner I was running at national level. ....  PB = 34.23min on 10 k  and  I can still run 10k around 40min. at 35 yrs old )

1min 40 is really fast !!!!you couldn't  just imagine how fast it is  :o

good average runner would do that on 1 lap .....but 800m is 2 laps !  For most people if you would go "all out" on one lap you would have difficulty running under 2minutes  ;D [cheeky]

for to help put it in better perspective...1600 ( 4 laps) is 1 mile, and they were moving at roughly a 3:20 per mile pace which is about 18mph....

my fastest mile was about 7:20 and it was a 1-off for sure...
