Title: Loctite or anti-seize Post by: bob795 on August 01, 2012, 09:12:32 PM Just picked up the Rizoma mirrors I bought from Monsterparts. The installation instruction says to use "grease" ...which I assume is anti-seize... am I correct?
Now, in your experience, do you guys use anti-seize or loctite for this kind of installation? thanks in advance, Title: Re: Loctite or anti-seize Post by: He Man on August 01, 2012, 09:21:22 PM grease is commonly used so you can reduce the friction between threads and get the proper torque spec, plus it keeps water out..
it is not antisieze or locktite. Title: Re: Loctite or anti-seize Post by: bob795 on August 01, 2012, 09:49:03 PM Thank you very much He Man.
I'm gonna stop by at Ace Hardware on my way home this evening to buy grease. I have anti-seize but not loctite or grease. Thanks, |
