Is that a 900SS? Cus it looks like one of the old carbies.
Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: Duck-Stew on August 03, 2012, 12:10:57 PM It's a mid-90s 600SS.
Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: Steve.In.Atlanta on August 03, 2012, 12:14:10 PM It's a mid-90s 600SS. Got it right from what I've read. Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: Raux on August 03, 2012, 12:18:23 PM That RoadRacing chin spoiler doesn't fit. he needs to sell it to me.

Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: Speeddog on August 03, 2012, 01:17:29 PM I wonder which the front tire hits first, the head or the triple. :P
Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: Ducatamount on August 03, 2012, 01:56:57 PM Looks like an ugly useless piece o' crap IMHO.
Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: BMiller on August 03, 2012, 03:57:51 PM It's a mid-90s 600SS. That makes sense now that I looked at the engine. I just glanced at work and saw the frame/swinger/tank. Cool bike anyhow. [beer] Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: Nero-92 on August 03, 2012, 04:06:12 PM Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: BMiller on August 03, 2012, 04:23:26 PM Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You mean "why not" [laugh] Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: 118811 on August 03, 2012, 04:54:30 PM Now I get it!!!
With that RoadRacing engine cowl...those Italians use that bike to plow the fields. [beer] Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: Grrrly on August 04, 2012, 03:47:13 AM the chin fairing is actually a DP part, not Road Racing. ;) They made a matching seat cowl, front fender and fairing.
Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: Raux on August 04, 2012, 04:05:49 AM yeah i think you're right. the RR had a screen in it.
Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: Bishamon on August 04, 2012, 07:11:52 AM That RoadRacing chin spoiler doesn't fit. Agreed. It's pretty cool, otherwise. Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: pitbull on August 04, 2012, 08:34:34 AM I really like it.
I actually think the SS frame and the tank make for really good looking standard motorcycle, with the right seat. Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: The ModFather on August 06, 2012, 03:01:39 AM I've been on the fence about whether to buy a Streetfighter or pick up a 900SS strip it down and make my own SF. I've seen some really nice naked 900SS and honesty I'm not 100% sold on the Streetfighter headlight but I wouldnt mind having all the latest state of the art components either. Not to mention the SF 1100 is one of the last of the Dry Clutches! :'(

Title: Re: Y'all Seen This Off-Road Duc Post by: hillbillypolack on August 06, 2012, 05:58:41 PM Why are there two rear tires?
I can maaaaaaaybe see 'why', but so many things not thought through on a scrambler style bike. Makes me wonder what it would have looked like with a properly set up 19", ample travel and a narrow front wheel. |
