Title: DP Low seat as comfortable as DP comfort seat?
Post by: bob795 on August 07, 2012, 05:37:04 AM
Hi guys,

Is the Ducati Performance Low seat as comfortable as the DP comfort seat?

I wanted to buy sargent seat, but the dealer that I contacted didn't know if it will fit my 795. I contacted sargent cycle and their reply was to contact the said dealer. So I think I'm gonna get the DP Low seat. I don't have a problem with the stock seat height, but need the low seat for my daughter who wants to ride the monster too.

696/796/1100 seats are all interchangeable UNLESS it says 696 ONLY (this means they may have taken the space for the exhaust valve motor)

Thanks Raux. That's also what I think. But apparently the shop (which is in singapore) wants to make sure that the seat will fit, which is good cause that means they don't want to sell me the wrong seat, but I need alternatives.

Don't know about those bikes, but the DP performance seat (gel seat) is the best mod I did on the '04 Monster.

Sargents are, I think, fairly hard.

The DP seat on my bike isn't "lower", it's flatter - more like a superbike/racing seat - which might seem lower.

Don't count on the low seat being any better than the stock seat for the inseam challenged because the low seat is actually wider which causes the rider straddle more.
