Title: Lowering Link - Where to buy Post by: samm3d on August 13, 2012, 10:02:29 AM Just bought my 2009 696 in Red. I am only 5'1", so i need to lower it a bit. Anyone know where i can order one? Can't find it anywhere. Lower the better.
All the "lowered" seat are wider, so that won't really help. My boots have a 3" lift in the, that helps to an extent. The dealer (duc pond in VA) said I could get a softer spring for my weight. The stock spring is for a 180 lb person. I am only 110 lbs. Where can i get one of those? A standard mod is to get the 796/1100 rear clevis to raise the 696 or a fit a 696 one to the 796/1100 to lower it. you should check in the monster women subforum on this board, there are several threads in there that have suggestions on how to lower your bike.
