a few days ago I managed to bleed my clutch with no issues all was good. After that I managed to break off the bleeder valve with the threads in the banjo bolt. So today I stop by the local shop and the guy hooks me up with a new bleeder valve and banjo bolt noting that the banjo bolt has a shorter threaded area than the stock one but saying itll work. So now Ive gone through almost a whole bottle of fluid trying to bleed this and havnt had any luck getting any pressure. Am I giving up too quickly? Does the length of the banjo bolt come into play? Any other ideas?
Forgot to mention the first time that when Im bleeding it Im not noticing any air bubbles come through just straight fluid.
If the banjo isn't leaking then it should be fine. Air can be trapped at the master that can be a pregnant dog to get out. Pull the lever and tap on the master with the handle of a screwdriver or something, you may see bubbles come into the reservoir.
Also position the bike so the master is as close to level as possible.
thanks guys, one of these might have been the problem (not sure which one helped most haha) but after not getting any air out for so long I ended up getting a couple of fat bubbles. Took her out for the first ride this morning in almost two months! [bacon]
